TENDER ANALYSIS AND REPORT
The financial evaluation of tenders submitted by builders is carried out by ourselves.
The initial objective of this tender evaluation is to ensure that the builders have priced the Tender Document in its totality, and to check for arithmetical errors and anomalies.
The tender evaluation method used is critical to the success of the project because it strongly affects the subsequent outcome of the project.
The ‘lowest bidder’ criterion alone is not a satisfactory way of evaluating a Tender. Tender evaluation should include factors such as:
- Tender amount,
- number of years in business,
- volume of business,
- financial security,
- capacity,
- previous performance,
- project management organisation,
- technical expertise, and
- proposed ‘Contract Period’
